Empowering Activists: Parliamentary Simulation Enhances Inclusive Political Participation

After completing the parliamentary briefing training, which successfully empowered 39 activists in parliamentary procedures over the course of eight days, the parliamentary simulation activities were conducted in both Sweida and Qamishli, with the participation of 34 deputies, where women’s representation exceeded 50%. These specialized training activities aim to enhance the participants’ ability to understand parliamentary procedural rules, decision-making mechanisms, voting processes, and holding the executive authority accountable.
The simulation included summoning ministers to hold the executive authority accountable, with the participation of deputies with disabilities. The activity was carried out in multiple stages, including virtual training, virtual sessions, and physical rehearsals. Around 50 people attended the sessions, reflecting the project’s commitment to promoting inclusive political participation.
