Empowering Women in Political Leadership: Insights from Dar Organization’s Agora Project Training
Dar Organization for Peace and Prosperity concluded its training sessions on political empowerment of women under the Agora project, where participants demonstrated strong commitment and actively engaged in group discussions and practical exercises. The training covered diverse gender concepts, discussed UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on women, peace, and security, and explored mechanisms for political participation in the Syrian context. Additionally, sessions included concepts of positive and negative peace, multi-dimensional peace, forms of violence against women in conflict settings, as well as prevention, relief, and recovery mechanisms. The training adopted a participatory approach that facilitated the sharing of opinions and experiences, thereby successfully achieving workshop objectives and reflecting the participants’ dedication to supporting women’s issues and enhancing their political role.
