The project empowered 40 young women in Northeast Syria by promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment by developing cycling skills. The project aims to create a lasting impact on participants’ lives by addressing the barriers that limit their access to sports and physical activities.

The expected long-term results of the project include:
• Increased participation: The project envisions a significant increase in the number of girls and young women participating in cycling activities. By providing training and opportunities, it aims to create a sustainable culture of sports participation among women in the region.
• Improved physical well-being: Through regular cycling and physical exercise, the project aims to enhance the physical health and fitness levels of the participants.
• Enhanced self-confidence: By developing cycling skills and engaging in physical activities, the project seeks to boost the self-confidence and self-esteem of the participants. This increased confidence can positively impact various aspects of their lives and empower them to overcome societal limitations.
• Changed perceptions and societal norms: The project aims to challenge traditional gender norms and stereotypes surrounding women’s participation in sports. By showcasing the capabilities and achievements of the participants, it seeks to change societal perceptions and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women in the community.
