Empowering Women in Governance and Peacebuilding: Focused Dialogues in Eastern Syria

DAR for Peace and Prosperity organization concluded focused dialogue sessions as part of the Agora project in six cities in eastern Syria. These sessions addressed the impact of governance systems on gender-responsive policies, the role of civil society in empowering women politically and constitutionally, and their contributions to reconstruction and peacebuilding. The discussions were led by activists with the aim of enhancing technical knowledge about women’s empowerment and raising local community awareness of supportive laws and legislative practices. These sessions are part of the organization’s efforts to strengthen women’s role in development and peace.
